Quest Announcement

"My Clan, I must tell you of the Prophecy that StarClan sent to me moons ago." Lightningstar stood on the Highpillar, and was looking down at her silent clan. "The Shadow will come,
the Shadow will come, the Dark rise up, the Shadow has come. the Slinking Wraith, the Running Flame, the stroke of Lightning, the heart of Ice. The Dark rise up, that none can tame.
the Shadow has come..." she recounted in a quiet chant. Instantly, protests rose up over the Clan.

"What does it mean?" asked Crablegs creakily.
"What is this Dark?" Brightbeam called out.
"How do I know you speak true?" asked Fluffpaw, bolder than the rest.
"Fluffpaw!" Sparrowpelt reprimanded. "Lightningstar would never lie!"
"Be quiet! Lightningstar is speaking!" Runningfire yowled.
Lightningstar nodded to her deputy, grateful for his support. "We do not know who the heart of Ice or the Slinking Wraith are, but in another vision, Starclan showed me a forest of endless night, a friendly night, not like the Place of No Stars, and told me 'You will find those you seek in a place where all cats are black.' I have told Silverleap about this, and she agrees. She said that she believes that the Running Flame is Runningfire, and that the Stroke of Lightning is me. We are leaving on our journey tomorrow. However, I am going to ask a cat to come with us, as I do not think two cats can do this alone. Ivorystream, would you like to join us?"
"Lightningstar!" Runningfire muttered. "This wasn't the plan!"
"Hush! I know what I'm doing!" Lightningstar muttered.
"I do!" Ivorystream replied, though her voice quivered a bit.
"Then, get your traveling herbs from Silverleap in the morning, and meet me at the tunnel at dawn. that is all." Lightningstar jumped down from the Highpillar, and went into her den.
